Here's a snapshot of things that I've done in the recent and not-so-recent past, with a good smattering of what I also enjoy doing in my free time.
My dayjob has largely been Tech Art work (in Lead/Principal capacity on Zynga Poker and Harry Potter Puzzles and Spells) for mobile.
A lot of UI-centric labor with some animation and VFX thrown in from time to time.
Done a lot of generalist 2D/3D/Animation (Lead animator on Warhammer Online, various on Dark Age of Camelot, Sim City 2013, Superman: The Man of Steel)
Environment art / level design Looney Tunes Racing, SF RUSH 2049.
Current project: noodling on the fortnite level below. Really enjoying learning more about Unreal (even if it's mostly UEFN, but hooks into blueprint and Niagara)
Ideal next skillups: more in-engine Unreal character/creature/boss techAnim. Leveling up on Spine 2D would be good too. Obviously more Niagara.
Would love to really dive into the Substance pipeline, but would need the motivation to do that in my spare time, instead of fleshing out my own worlds :)
THREE ENGINES IN APRIL
In April 2025, I decided to begin work on a project to balance where-I'm-at with what-I-want-to-do.
Tech Art is a really broad (and sometimes vague) arena, and I'm in the Not-A-Computer-Scientist bucket.
But I problem solve well, and work with others to find efficiencies and pipeline solutions that reduce redundancy and human error.
I enjoy prototyping, and so I wrote up a pitch for myself something like the following:
Create a few new assets (as iPad centric as possible [nomad/procreate]) and integrate them into a similar experience in as many engines as possible.
MVP: figure out the pipeline in, blocking out a level, porting it to others.
Also, including UI, VFX, and Animation if possible.

Gringott's integration, art optimization, prototyping sequences cross-discipline. Intro, hand-keyed plinths, etc. Collaborated with Eng on avatar tween behavior, etc.

Stream Avatars
Various Emotes and/or Stream Avatars, An OBS overlay plugin that allows Chat to pick avatars for themselves.
These run around on screen and can perform various actions.

One technical challenge making these, was the intent that they all be tintable. Hence them sharing the same initial red/yellow/grey palette.
You can see how they tint in the video as well.
These were all created in Procreate with some tweaks in AEsprite/ProMotion/Affinity Photo for tightening up pixels and laying out sprite sheets.
